Do I need a parking permit for the moving van?
If you are moving to the Abington, Far Cotton, or Mounts areas, you will likely be in a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ).​
Action: You may need to apply for a "Parking Waiver" or a "Dispensation" from the council to allow a large van to park on yellow lines or in a permit-only bay. Timeline: Apply at least 5 working days in advance via the West Northamptonshire Council website to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

What is the best time to schedule my move?
Northampton is a major logistics hub, meaning "The Hub" (where the A45, A43, and M1 meet) can get incredibly congested.
The "Black Cat" Effect: Traffic on the A45 and around Riverside or Sixfields peaks heavily between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM. Our Advice: Aim for a 10:00 AM start. This avoids the heavy commuter traffic and the notorious bottleneck at the St James’ "bus lane" areas.

Where can I dispose of unwanted items before the move?
Northampton has two primary Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) for your pre-move declutter:
Sixfields (Ecton Lane): Sixfields Household Waste Recycling Center, Best for those on the West/North side of town.
Brixworth: Brixworth Household Recycling Center. A good alternative if Sixfields is at capacity.

Note: You must book a slot online before visiting these centers; they no longer allow drive-ins without a prior appointment.

We are able to supply up to four Luton capacity type vans to accommodate your moving needs.

No, we do not require a deposit; however, we kindly request that you inform us promptly in the event of a cancellation.
